Jan 18 2010

Here is the whole sequence from dec 20th to Jan 18. The order is Jan 6th as the first photo followed by Dec 23rd, Dec 21st, and finally Jan 18th. January 6 is equivalent in temperature to December 23rd, while Dec 21 is much warmer than either of them.

The order shows there was a warming period right at dec 21, followed by a cooling period. The finally there was a warming period again.

jan 15 2010

Here the green area has touched the the northern tip of norway, so it is getting bigger. The red spot at the south tip of india has gotten larger.

But the magenta area is shrinking but is is still larger and more defined than dec 20th. Maybe another day of or two.

jan 14 2010

Here we have another pulse of heat to the north, with a large yellow area almost to iceland.

Definitely warming up, but not yet as warm as
Dec 20th. The magenta area would be smaller.

The equator is slowly heating up again, with hot spots in africa expanding, the red circle at the base of india, and warm area spreading from australia over the pacific islands. Antarctica is getting colder slowly, so we are getting the signs that the shift to the northern hemisphere is happening.

It appears that the northern hemisphere has stopped getting colder, as the magenta area has gotten smaller over north america, but is not yet back to the same size as Dec 20th. Northern europe has turned a light blue, and the magenta area has shrunk over siberia.

Well, this is the first time since dec 20 that that the yellow area is off norway. Most of Europe is a light blue, and the magenta mass is shrinking. Lets see what the northern hemisphere looks like when this pulse of energy dies down, if it does.

Antarctica has the magenta area advancing, indicating it is getting colder there. South africa and australia are cooling down
