You might think at first glance that the northern hemisphere is warming up, but that's not correct. the dark purple over siberia is getting larger, even though norther europe has warmed up. But northern europe has warmed up at the expense of the north sea getting colder. The blue area between greenland and north america is still there.

Antarctica is now warming up, as is south africa.

This might be the point where cooling stops and the gradual increase in the norther hemisphere starts. today is the closest the earth is to sun today.
